Good day, The end of the year is fast approaching. Here's an update on all and sundryas a few deadlines are approaching. The Learning To Learn Guitar program is dominating my world at the moment. 100s of hours or work, but it is so good to be back to the guitar!
Producing the online lessons and student support materials that follow on from the DVD part of the program has been quite exciting. Finally, I have 1 program that will contain all of the strategy work from Learning To Learn, the Goal Achiever's Program and my books. It is really becoming about the mastery of "learning HOW to learn", and yes, we get to learn to play the guitar along the way. I am enjoying the discovery of new ways to use the emerging technology and to now have a truly international group of studentsworking together. I am learning a great deal.
Deadline approaching for FREE access to the online guitar lessons. Everyone who purchases the Learning To Learn Guitar DVD program before October 18th will have FREE access to all of the online lessons. That's equivalent to not less that $4,000 of private lessons. I have kept this offer open as long as I can to give something back to those of you who have continuedto support my work. Those starting after the 18th will be charged $47.00 per month to use the online lessons.
Looking for participants in a one off learning event in 2010 I want to conduct one, and only one, face-to-face Learning To Learn Guitar Program next year. I want to re-film that work and I need a group of studentsto do it!
It would run in 2 parts, each 12 weeks in length with a week or two break in the middle. This is the complete LTL Guitar program as it was originally designed. Each session will be 3 hours, likely on a Saturday morning. Likely starting in February/March. It will be open to all, new players, past players, including teenagers and younger children if a parent joins the child. I'll be inviting local DVD/online guitar students to assist. That will giveus a chance to do some playing together. I will also need to find a bass player, drummer and another guitarist to support me in the event.
If you live in Sydney, and think you might participate in an event such asthis would you please send me an email. This will be the single most fun courseyou ever do with me. That I can promise. No obligation this early, but I to need a sense of interest out there if I am going to be able to pull this off.
Let's go shopping I am inviting a group of local guitar students for coffee and a trip to my favourite guitar store. We'll be hanging out and learning about different types of guitars, amps, and technology. The world of music has changed greatly. It will be fun and informative. If you have been thinking about participating in my guitar program but have never purchased a guitar or you plan to buy a guitaras a gift for someone this Christmas this would be a good day to show up. It will save you stacks. When: December 5th
Where: Crows Nest (more details to follow)
Time: 10am
How: Send me an email and I'll send you exact location details
Learning To Learn Last but not least ... Learning To Learn is scheduled again for Sydney on November 17 and 18. All information is on the news page at the website.
The foreign language work I haven't forgotten the language work. I am still receiving a good number of emails on the subject and my previous articles. They keep me busy. I plan tohave the 3rd and final article online before or just after the new year.
All books now available as Kindle Books via Amazon
This is step 29 in trying to get all of the work available in the places and forms they need to exist. Amazon has "used" copies of early additions of my books but the prices are unreal. Now, in addition to their availabilityon my website as downloads, they are available as Kindle Books at Amazon. And,the Kindle reader is now available for delivery outside of the U.S.! Within the 4 to 6 weeks Amazon and my website will have all books as Instant Print books for those people wanting hard copies again. One small step for Steffi .... And, ending now
So, that's me. Planning to sleep next year! If ever the mood strikes, dropme an email and let me know how you are travelling. Cheers, Stef Dr. Stephanie Burns
