Another Brilliant Steve Byrne Horsemanship / Cow Working course held at Exeter Farm, Braidwood.

by Camilla Davidson

Yet another fantastic Steve Byrne 2 day Horsemanship course followed by 3 days of Cutting camp was
held at Exeter Farm, Braidwood during  March, which myself and my daughter Sunny May attending.

Sunny coming back to horses and riding from a few years break, this was a fantastic re introduction to
good horsemanship, with great foundation with horsemanship skills and the world of working cattle.

The 2 day horsemanship course prepared us and our horses for the following 3 days of concentrating on
firstly the mechanical cow and then the real thing, the cattle. Keeping us all advancing fwd and at the same time feeling very safe and confident in what we were doing.

Most of the students were seasoned students who have done quiet a few of Steve's informative and very clearly descriptive courses and all had clearly benefited from these courses as the change/improvement in both horse and rider was very clear and exciting to see.

I personally want to thank Steve for the continuing help he offers us. Anyone interested in improving their
skills with horses and then putting this to practice with working cattle, should not be missing these courses.

A Special Thanks to Kate & Owen Gwinn for continuing to offer their fantastic facilities and cattle, Their property is a running cattle station and so very much suited to these courses. Then a another thanks must
go to Missie the Chief that feeds the hungry crew with incredibly delicious dinners.

Now, Not to forget Lee Woodland who gets these courses off and running, a big thanks must go to Lee, who could not make these 5 days, due to work commitments and we all definitely missed her wonderful company.

Now as I am clearly not a natural article writer, I will hand it over to the wonderful photos I got to take during the 5 days, to show what a fantastic time we had.
