FROM THE PRESIDENT:

In September the Australian Equine Barefoot Movement Inc., held it’s AGM and a new committee was elected. Our new AEBM committee greatly appreciates the wonderful work done by those committee members that have now retired, and we thank them for their dedicated and tireless contribution over the years.

We also wish to thank our major Sponsor, Cavallo Horse & Rider Inc., for their continued and very generous support. Cavallo Horse & Rider now offers AEBM members gift vouchers and discounts on their range of products, and continue to supply the AEBM with Simple Boots and other promotional products for AEBM sponsoring of equestrian events, Riders of Distinction awards, and competition prizes. Competition details can be found on our website throughout the next year.

The AEBM is looking forward to sponsoring more barefoot sections at equestrian events, both large and small throughout 2009-2010. We continue to invite equestrian clubs and associations to contact us for information about how we may be able to help out with AEBM and Cavallo Horse & Rider prize packs. Our most recent sponsored event was the Top Team Trophy Dressage event held during November at Werribee in Victoria. The AEBM girls joined in with a trade table at this event, and a great time was had with prize packs being given for the “Best Performed Barefoot Horse”. Cavallo Horse & Rider donated a pair of Simple Boots for the first prize winner and a host of other products for prizes to 3rd place. Around 79 riders entered in the barefoot section of this competition. Needless to say we were thrilled with this turnout and congratulate all those who competed

and in particular the winners!

To all members of the AEBM, membership renewals are now due and we look forward to your continued support. Without you, we cannot do the work we do! For those who have not previously joined our organisation, we

invite you to come and join us and help in our efforts to promote the many health and welfare benefits of a barefoot, natural lifestyle for all of our equine friends. 

The AEBM is a non-profit organisation and all committee members are volunteers. Membership is still only $25.00 and all of the monies collected are used to fund our informative website, event sponsorship, and other promotional work.
